The idea of this tutorial is not to cling to the values presented in the tools and filters, as this may be different in each image. desaturate
Here the idea is to clear the beak and the eye to bring the overall tone
and also darken the lighter parts of the bird
invert
the idea of next steps is to enhance the details keeping colors. I did this by manipulating the colors "black", "white" and "Neutrals". This can be different and not required in other images
added to the background
Here I give a bluish tint to the ice
Now I use the eraser tool to give a bit of transparency in some parts of the ice
In this case I still need to accentuate the white so I increased the brightness and contrast
The final touch (and optional) was to add some brightness in some parts
