Last sighted during Victorian-era England, Spring Heel'd Jack was for many years regarded as little more than folklore. However, the extraordinarily unbelievable high definition colour photograph (above) seems to provide startling and unequivocal evidence that Jack - is BACK!
This comp is full of great entries, yet this one stands out for me.
Wow. Stunning work - so much detail and atmosphere. Top marks. And I'm sure congrats will be in order too! Really like the little character in the window, too.
this is really great but feel it is way too illustrative based on the rules of the contest. "The idea of this contest is to make your entry look like an honest to goodness photo of these mysterious animals as much as possible. We're aiming for out-and-out hoaxes here - images that might be mistaken for actual reputable evidence"...
The problem here, is it works as a chop, but it does not work as a hoax.
I'd recognize this style anywhere! Even though it lacks the hoax-like element, it ROCKS!!!! The colors, lighting, and atmosphere really make this come alive.
I feel like apologising - this is amazing. Congrats on silver, anyway - you must feel mugged! Top job.

This was utterly obsessive gurt fat fun to do :)
thanks for the compliment Delpht... never done a tutorial. fear it would be a bit random - i'm a rather chaotic try-this-try-that worker, but will consider your suggestion. Funnily enough, I don't think this is finished really. If I get round to tweaking and developments, maybe then would be a good time for WiPs and Tuts. Then I'll just be waiting for an opportunity to relaunch it! Thanks again ;)
Congratulations even tho i will have to agree with some of the comments .. this was a photo realism contest which was clearly stated on the rules ( something which i failed to achieve on my entry too lol ) Great work after all. Purely creative.

Really think u deserve it, man! Awesome image, think u didnt win, as others said, cause of the "cartoonish" style. Can u at least post / send me a psd file? Man, it really impressed me!
