Your subject has a serious motion blur, so the bubble should as well.

but the only motion blur in the original is the spinning of the ball. which i did.

No, there'd be no motion blur on the ball, just rotation, because it's only rolling with relationship to the camera. It'd be rotating, but it wouldn't be moving any more than the player's hips. Supagray is correct. Good job!
