A few changes to Vermeer's classic 'Girl With A Pearl Earring' to make her more suited to an ad for Beaverbrooks (a UK jewellers chain, of average repute...). It's gone a bit fuzzy with the downscaling (especially the text), so PLEASE view full, blah blah, etc.

To be fair though, W1k had some *major* problems today, and when it came back online things were messed up - one page said this image had won, another didn't, etc. It also says it had 21 voters - well, I know for a fact that a few hours before the contest closed there was around 60 voters!!
What I'm saying is, even though I bounced around the first 3 places for most of the voting period, there is a chance I didn't actually win this and some of the votes got lost along the way. Top marks to the other guys who were placed, I thought your efforts were great, and know in your hearts that maybe you really DID win :)
