Late to the Gig

Alternate title: Speed Guitar.

Thanks to the folks at NASA for the jet engine. Public domain photos, hooray!

A note: Do not adjust your television set... adding the motion blur to what was a razor-sharp image was painful, but it just looked fake without it. What do you think?

i like both versions...but maybe if you would have blurred everything but the bike...i dunno but i like it

The sharp version definitely look static. But you can achieve the motion effect without touching your main subject ( which is pretty cool by the way :-) ) Just apply an horizontal blur to all the background, and only to the background.
The flame by the reactor looks a bit illustrated, I would have just go for a background distorsion caused by heat, but without any visible flame.
Also the vehicule really looks made of two blocks. Maybe some bits of red on the NASA engine would tie this together...

Anyway pretty nice job and original, way to go !

Should have kept either the background or the rocket guitar in focus instead of blurring them both.
