The earliest well-known report of a Man-Eating Tree originated as a hoax in 1881... this photograph however clearly proves their existence... as well as an insatiable hunger for human flesh...

If I were Roger, the torch holding man, I would be running round about now...

BTW I don't believe in any monster stories :)

In the near by village, people are saying that something eats away their red barns. They lost some dozen of them already. The owners of the consumed red barns say that when they went to sleep, the barns were there, and when they woke up in the morning, the red barns were not there any longer... I happened to be crisscrossing the fields one evening, and that's when I saw them. This is my honest capture of the small pack of the Redbarnstrum. So, beware, don't paint your barns red, unless you have to.

(all elements in the image come from my portfolio)

The Cherufe is said to be an evil humanoid creature of rock and magma, and that's what I've tried to depict. This is mostly created from scratch, and most of the creature is made from one single image of rope lava. I've also glanced at an image (for reference) of a lizard when I created the head.

I wanted to create an eerie dark silhouette type of image. I could have made it a more vibrant but I think that takes away from the whole, "I caught something on camera in the dark woods" idea. Hope you like.
