This is an orc.

I was originally planning to show much more of it's body, but as you can see in the WIP, I made the decision to make it more of a portrait and focus more tightly on the face.

Much of it is hand drawn, but as this wasn't a strict illustration contest I was able to make use of a good number of photo sources, mainly from Wiki Commons, for stuff like background, wood, rust, skin textures, teeth, eyes, etc.

The screaming and wailing you've been hearing for some time seems to be coming from the stone beneath your feet. Suddenly a dark shape looms up from the ground. Its muscular form looks solid and strong, but its featureless head is surrounded by many ghostly faces. As it swings a heavy fist at you, one of the faces rushes up its arm...

I'm not sure if D&D trolls (of whatever flavour) actually have horns... but as they are creatures of chaos... I decided this one could be given a magnificent pair of horns.

I'm sure there's going to be lots of Owlbears in this contest but I always remember them as being a really stupid type of monster to have. An owl + a bear? Lame! This one looks ready to have a happy conversation with the party "You'd like this treasure? O RLY? Come and get it then! I'm only worth 5 exp!"

The typical Athach giant is 18' tall and weighs 4,500 pounds. They have pear shaped muscular bodies, and a third arm in the center of their chests.
They have orc-like faces, many warts and veins in their green skin, and curly matted hair and beards. Apparently, they are also poisonous. They are depicted as wearing the hides of dead farm animals, and sometimes tribal decorations of bones, jewelry and webs of rope.

These huge monsters are quite stupid and ill tempered. They live in small families, sheltering in caves. Not overly intelligent, they prefer to attack by charging, with a morning star in each of their three hands and beating on one another when not hunting for meat, and they consider humans to be meat. They love gems and jewelry and, if an offer is good enough, will accept such in return for not attacking travelers.
